Imprinting - Restoration of the Bell Tower in Sparta
The Belfry of Sparta is one of the most important buildings of the city. It was used for many years as a departure station for buses to Athens and Kalamata. Today the building is closed and its appropriate use is being sought. Our proposal includes the mapping of the building and its restoration so that it can host various activities.
The civil engineer who undertook the restoration of the bell tower asked us to carry out the mapping & restoration plans on his behalf, so that they would be accepted by the antiquities tax office that commissioned the project. In the survey, the photometry-based drawings had to be created to illustrate the pathology of the building. Then the plans for the restoration of the bell tower and part of its surrounding area were drawn up, with an illustration of the interventions that will be carried out on it
