Restoration of a Post-Byzantine Church in Kalamata
The Post-Byzantine Church of Kalamata is one of the most important monuments of the city. It was used for many years as a church and today it is closed and its proper use is being sought. Our proposal includes the restoration of the temple and its restoration so that it can host various activities.
The project concerns the restoration of a post-Byzantine church in Koulendia, Monemvasia, which was in a state of ruin. Here, too, we were asked for the impression and restoration plans showing the pathology and the restoration work so that they could be passed by the competent archaeological committee, as well as photorealistic representations of the result of the restoration since the project would be funded by a private individual. A historical review of the character of the temple was made so that the restoration preserves the original character and clearly separates the preserved part of the temple from the intervention.
